A running list of the books I think would drastically improve the world if more people read them.
- Leadership and Self-Deception — The Arbinger Institute. Your ego is in the way of your own progress and the progress of the people who “work for you”.
- Read This Before Our Next Meeting — Al Pittampalli. Most of your meetings are pointless time-wasters. Have better ones, or don’t have them at all.
- Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals — Oliver Burkeman. You’ve got one life, and then you’re dead. Use it.
- Lying — Sam Harris. Are you robbing people of agency on a regular basis by hiding the truth from them?
- The Courage to be Disliked — Ichiro Kishimi, Fumitake Koga. If you live your life for other people, you’re living their lives, not yours.
- 10 Things I Wish You Knew About Your Child’s Mental Health — Billy Garvey. The book I wish my parents had when I was growing up.
